Privacy Policy

Tonecut is built to be private by design. The short version: your audio stays on your phone, and we don't collect anything about you. This page explains that in plain English.

Everything happens on your device

Tonecut does all of its audio processing — cutting, trimming, merging, converting, extracting, fading and everything else — entirely on your device. Your audio and video files are never uploaded to any server and never leave your phone. There is no cloud processing.

No accounts, no sign-up

Tonecut has no user accounts, no login, and no sign-up. You don't give us an email address or any other identity to use the app.

We don't collect your data

Tonecut does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to Officeball or to third parties. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking of any kind. We don't build a profile of you because we don't receive any information about you.

Your files stay in your control

The files you open and the exports you create live in the app's storage on your device. You can delete them at any time inside the app (Library → Delete, or Settings → Clear library). Uninstalling the app removes its files from your device as well.

Permissions

Tonecut only asks for the permissions it needs to do what you ask:

• Access to files you pick — so the app can open the audio or video you choose to edit.
• Modify system settings (Android only) — used solely to set a ringtone, notification sound, or alarm when you request it.

These permissions are used only to perform the action you asked for, on your device. They are never used to gather information about you.

No selling or sharing

We do not sell or share your data, because we don't collect any. With respect to data, the app is suitable for all ages — it collects none.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how Tonecut handles data, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Because the app is on-device and collects nothing, we expect changes here to be rare.
